Welcome to the Kalamazoo Detachment #879 of the Marine Corps League

Accepting the United Way’s STAR Award for community service are Larry Sweerin, Bob Hencken, Dan Williams, and Mick Hornev.  The Kalamazoo Marine Corps League was nominated in respect of two decades of service at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center.

Your country needed you then, the Marine Corps League needs you now!  Continue the Mission with us.  “Charlie Mike, over.”

The Kalamazoo Detachment was formed in 1994 and we continue to enjoy our 25 years of dedication and camaraderie.

We are among the most active Veteran groups in the area.  We meet because we enjoy having a good time in each other’s company while serving the Corps and the community.

Join us on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 1900.  We meet at the Red Arrow VFW Post at 1920 E. Kilgore Service Rd, Kalamazoo, MI 49002 (near I-94 and the North end of the airport).  The Red Arrow Grill is open every Thursday of the month 1800-2000.

Remember to bring your photo from when you started your Marine Corps or professional career.  All photos will be displayed as part of our photo derby and will be returned by the end of the OCT meeting.

Congratulations to the Kalamazoo Detachment 2018 Marine of the Year – Dan Williams.  A leader by example.
